General description

Lyso-SM-d9 is a deuterated lyso-SM. Lyso sphingomyelin (Lyso-SM) is obtained from sphingomyelin due to the cleavage of N-acyl linkage of ceramides in sphingomyelin by the help of hydrolase.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Lyso sphingomyelin (Lyso-SM) functions as lipid mediators. It plays a vital role in cellular functioning of the skin, blood vessels, brain and heart. It also helps in the functioning of the immune system.
