Application

1,4-Bis(triethoxysilyl)benzene (BTEB) is a silicon-based nucleophile shown to be reactive in Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions.
It is extensively used as a precursor in the synthesis of a variety of periodic mesoporous organosilicas (PMOs).
