General description

Bis(2-ethylhexyl) adipate (Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)), is an ester of adipic acid and 2-ethylhexanol. It is a plasticizer and finds application in plastic technology, in order to impart flexibility to rigid polymers. It is an indirect food additive formed due to contact of adhesives with polymers.

This study aimed to characterize the effects of di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) on the fetal rat testes and relate them to the effects seen in adults. Histopathological effects in fetal testes were examined with immunohistochemistry for anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), 3beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase

Two approaches based on solidification of floating drop microextraction (SFDME) and homogenous liquid-liquid microextraction (HLLE) were compared for the extraction and preconcentration of di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and di-(2-ethylhexyl) adipate (DEHA) from the mineral water samples. In SFDME, a floated drop

The plasticizer di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) exhibits antiandrogenic effects in perinatally exposed male rats. Di(2-ethylhexyl) adipate (DEHA) and diisononyl phthalate (DINP) are currently being evaluated as potential substitutes for DEHP, but similarities in structure and metabolism of DEHP with DEHA and DINP
