生物化学的／生理学的作用

RING finger protein 38 is a protein encoded by the RNF38 gene in humans and is mapped to chromosome 9p12-p13. It belongs to RING finger protein family. It consists of 13 exons with 65 kb of genome and is 78 kb centromeric to the GNE gene. This chromosomal segment is associated with various diseases, mainly with malignancy. It is a functional ubiquitin protein ligase (E3) and possesses role in p⁵³ regulation.
