詳細
The Apelin receptor (APJ receptor) is a Gi/o-coupled protein with significant sequence homology to the angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptor. It is activated by apelin peptides (12, 17, or 36 amino acids). The effects of the apelin receptor are mediated mainly through the activation of protein kinase C and calcium signaling. The apelin receptor has been detected in the brain, heart, spleen, thymus, ovary, small intestine, and colon. Several studies have suggested that it is involved in regulating cardiovascular function and glucose homeostasis.
特異性
This antibody recognizes Apelin receptor at the cytoplasmic domain.

Apelin peptides have recently been identified to be the endogenous ligands for the G protein-coupled receptor APJ. However, little is known about the physiological roles of this ligand-receptor pairing. In the present study we investigated the pharmacology of several apelin

Cancer cachexia consists of dramatic body weight loss with rapid muscle depletion due to imbalanced protein homeostasis. We found that the mRNA levels of apelin decrease in muscles from cachectic hepatoma-bearing rats and three mouse models of cachexia. Furthermore, apelin

Apelin is an insulin-sensitizing hormone increased in abundance with obesity. Apelin and its receptor, APJ, are expressed in the human placenta, but whether apelin regulates placental function in normal body mass index (BMI) and obese pregnant women remains unknown. We
