Descrizione generale

Trizma® base is a volumetric standard produced under rigorous conditions and measured with the highest possible precision. Its content is determined by volumetric neutralization titration using a combined pH glass electrode. The certified value and uncertainty measurement of the standard are in accordance with ISO Guide 35.

Applicazioni

It finds its use as a reference material for the standardization of volumetric solutions in acidimetric titrations.

Altre note

I valori di pH di tutti i tamponi dipendono dalla temperatura e dalla concentrazione. Per i tamponi Tris, ad ogni °C in meno della temperatura corrisponde un aumento di circa 0,03 unità di pH, mentre ad ogni diluizione di un fattore 10 corrisponde una diminuzione di pH di 0,03-0,05 unità.
Per applicazioni che necessitano estrema precisione, utilizzare un pHmetro accuratamente calibrato con un elettrodo combinato vetro/calomelano.
