Tumor associated calcium signal transducer 2 (TACSTD2), also known as trophoblast cell surface antigen 2 (TROP2), is a 36 kDa protein and part of the TACSTD family. The gene encoding this cell surface glycoprotein is localized on human chromosome 1p32.1.

生化/生理作用
Trophoblast cell surface antigen 2 (TROP2) has a role in epithelial-mesenchymal transition. It modulates stem cell activity and is crucial in promoting cell self-renewal and survival. TROP2 increases intracellular calcium levels. The protein is overexpressed in many cancers. It has been shown to influence the proliferation and migration of gallbladder cancer cells.
