荭草素（ORI）是一种木犀草素衍生物，也是水溶性8-C糖苷膳食黄酮。它的化学结构中有一个酮基、两个醚基和苯基。荭草素来源于多种药用植物，如O Ocimum sanctum（圣罗勒）、Phyllostachys类（竹叶）、Passiflora 类、Trollius类等。

生化／生理作用
荭草素对于过氧化氢引起的SH-SY5Y神经母细胞具有神经保护作用。 它具有抗氧化、抗炎症、抗老化、抗抑郁剂、血管舒张和心脏保护作用。
黄酮苷存在于阿萨伊树、金梅草和西番莲中。抗病毒、抗菌和抗氧化剂。具有防辐射活性。
