肌酸酶是催化肌酸水解的同型二聚体。它由两个单体亚基和两个指定结构域组成;N和C末端结构域。C端折叠在两个结构相似的结构域内,同时具有α螺旋和反平行β折叠。在这两个结构域之间,一个巯基作为活性位点,其活性无金属依赖性。

應用

肌酸酶与肌氨酸氧化酶混合可用于测定不同pH值、温度、酶比和缓冲液浓度下的肌酸水平。也可以通过使用离心分析仪来测定血浆肌酐水平。

生化/生理作用

肌酸酶加速肌酸和水分子转化形成肌氨酸和尿素的反应。它总是以同型二聚体状态起作用,并由氯化胆碱诱导。
