Descrizione generale

Hyperpolarization activated cyclic nucleotide-gated potassium channel 4 (HCN4) is one of the subunits of hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated channels, which have a role in synaptic transmission, dendritic integration, membrane and action potential. It is a heteromeric channel. HCN4 is highly expressed in rat embryonic hearts, specifically in the sinoatrial node.

Specificità

Detects ~130 kDa. No cross-reactivity against other HCNs

Immunogeno

Fusion protein amino acids 1019-1198 (c-terminus) of rat HCN4, Accession Number Q9JKA7

The activity of pacemaker cells in the sinoatrial node (SAN) is an indicator of normal sinus rhythm. Clinical studies have revealed that the dysfunction of the SAN progressively increases with aging. In this study, we determined the changes in hyperpolarization-activated

The sinoatrial node (SAN) is composed mostly of pacemaker, transitional and Purkinje-like cells. Pacemaker cells, especially in the centre of the SAN, are surrounded by dense fibrous tissue and do not have any contact with transitional cells. We hypothesize that
