QIAcard™ FTA™ Classic (25) is a non-indicating three sample regions framed card utilized for the transportation, preservation, and collection of blood, cells, and tissue that are pigmented biological material.

  • Consists of a free radical scavenger and chemical denaturants
  • Long-term sample storage at ambient temperature
  • Immediate DNA capture improves process efficiency for short tandem repeat (STR) analysis by allowing direct amplification
  • Contained in stiff card frame allowing the use of automated pipetting/dispensing and punching devices
  • Takes less than 30 minutes to capture nucleic acid for downstream applications
  • While proteins and inhibitors are removed from the matrix, DNA stays attached to flinders technology associates (FTA), at ambient temperature for years, minimizing laboratory freezers requirement.
  • Proteins, however, remain strongly linked to flinders technology associates (FTA) elute during the matrix′s elution of DNA
