Informações sobre genes

human ... PEX14(5195)

Descrição geral

Peroxisomal membrane protein 14 (PEX14) is a component of the peroxisomal translocation machinery. It interacts with PEX19 and PEX13, and functions as the peroxisomal membrane docking factor for PEX5. The PEX7-PTS2 complex also docks at PEX14 indirectly via PEX5L, the longer isoform of PEX5. Defects in PEX14 result in peroxisome biogenesis disorder complementation group K and Zellweger syndrome.

Imunogênio

His-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to human PEX14.

Aplicação

Western Blot Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected PEX14 (peroxisomal membrane marker) in 10 µg of human liver tissue lysate.

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A representative lot from an independent laboratory detected PEX14 (peroxisomal membrane marker) in Pex14p-transfected CHO cells (Pinto, M. P., et al. 2006. J Biol Chem. 281(45):34492-34502.).

Qualidade

Evaluated by Western Blot in NIH/3T3 cell lysate.

Western Blot Analysis: A 1:500 dilution from a representative lot detected PEX14 (peroxisomal membrane marker) in 10 µg of NIH/3T3 cell lysate.

Descrição-alvo

~60 kDa observed. This product is known to exist in two isoforms at 41 kDa and 37 kDa, but it has also been observed at ~57-60 kDa (Nguyen, T. et al. 2006. J Cell Sci. 119 (Pt 4):636-645). An uncharacterized band may be observed at ~51 kDa in some cell lysates.

forma física

Rabbit polyclonal serum with 0.05% sodium azide.
Unpurified

Armazenamento e estabilidade

Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance.

Biogenesis of the mammalian peroxisomal membrane requires the action of Pex3p and Pex16p, two proteins present in the organelle membrane, and Pex19p, a protein that displays a dual subcellular distribution (peroxisomal and cytosolic). Pex19p interacts with most peroxisomal intrinsic membrane

Intracellular signaling processes are frequently based on direct interactions between proteins and organelles. A fundamental strategy to elucidate the physiological significance of such interactions is to utilize optical dimerization tools. These tools are based on the use of small proteins
