Descrição geral

Chromolith® columns are made of monolithic silica with a characteristic bimodal pore structure.

Chromolith® Performance RP-18 endcapped 100-3 columns have macropores with 2 μm diameter, giving a column efficiency exceeding 80,000 plates/meter. The mesopores are 13 nm (130 Å), the surface modification is octadecylsilane with full end-capping. Chromolith® Performance RP-18 endcapped 100-3 columns fall under the USP L1 Classification. The column efficiency is comparable to a 5 μm particle size fully porous particulate column. Chromolith® Performance RP-18 endcapped 100-3 columns are perfectly suitable for LC-MS applications.
The column dimension of 100 mm length and 3 mm I.D. is the best choice for fast separations of complex samples on any HPLC and UHPLC System.

The revolutionary, monolithic silica with its unique combination of macropores and mesopores enables:
—Rapid separations at very low column back-pressure
—High matrix tolerance, allowing time and cost savings with simplified workflows
—Cost-savings due to extended column lifetimes
—Connection of columns, flow gradients and the use of mobile phases with higher viscosity

The recommended Guard-columns are:
Chromolith® RP-18 endcapped 5-3 guard cartridges (3 pieces) [1.52005] with the Chromolith® Guard Cartridge Holder 5 mm x 3 mm [1.52004]

Holder and guard cartridges are also available as Guard cartridge set [1.52008]
The Chromolith® column coupler can be used to significantly increase the separation efficiency of Chromolith® columns by coupling several columns in series (up to 100,000 plates/per column). [1.51467]

Aplicação

  • Rapid Determination of 30 Polyphenols in Tongmai Formula: This study utilized the Chromolith® RP-18 endcapped column in a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry setup to analyze 30 polyphenolic compounds in a traditional Chinese medicine formula, demonstrating its application in pharmaceutical analysis and quality control of complex herbal formulations (Wang et al., 2017).

  • Ultra-fast gradient LC method for omeprazole analysis using a monolithic column: The Chromolith® RP-18 endcapped column was employed in an ultra-fast gradient liquid chromatography method for the analysis of omeprazole in enteric-coated pellets, highlighting its efficiency in pharmaceutical quality control and rapid method development (Borges et al., 2010).
