General description
This Spectroquant TOC test allows the accurate quantification of the TOC especially in sewage outflow samples. The term TOC (Total Organic Carbon) is used to describe the total content of organically bound carbon in dissolved and undissolved forms. By digestion with sulfuric acid and peroxodisulfate, these compounds are transformed into carbon dioxide.
This reacts with an indicator, the color is determined photometrically. Inorganic carbon (dissolved carbon dioxide and carbonates) is expelled beforehand by acidification.
The digestion is analogous to APHA 5310 C (2014).
All our Cell and Reagent Test Kits are equipped with the unique Live ID (2D barcode) which allows seamless method recognition and contains essential information such as lot number, expiry date, and automatic calibration updates.
The Spectroquant Cell Tests come with prefilled 16 mm round cells as well as all the required reagents to perform the analysis according to the procedure described in the accompanying instruction leaflet.
