Allgemeine Beschreibung

ZooMAb® antibodies represent an entirely new generation of recombinant monoclonal antibodies. Each ZooMAb® antibody is manufactured using our proprietary recombinant expression system, purified to homogeneity, and precisely dispensed to produce robust and highly reproducible lot-to-lot consistency. Only top-performing clones are released for use by researchers. Each antibody is validated for high specificity and affinity across multiple applications, including its most commonly used application. ZooMAb® antibodies are reliably available and ready to ship when you need them.

Spezifität

Clone 3G13 is a ZooMAb® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Ovalbumin.

Immunogen

His-tagged full-length, recombinant Ovalbumin from Chicken egg.

Anwendung

Quality Control Testing

Evaluated by Western Blotting in Chicken egg ovalbumin.

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:10,000 dilution of this antibody detected Chicken egg ovalbumin.

Tested Applications

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected recombinant Chicken egg Ovalbumin..

Affinity Binding Assay Analysis: A representative lot of this antibody bound Ovalbumin with a KD of 2.6 x 10-7 in an affinity binding assay.

Enzyme Immunoassay (ELISA) Analysis: Serial of dilutions from a representative lot detected Ovalbumin.

Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user.

Zielbeschreibung

Ovalbumin (UniProt: P01012; also known as Allergen Gal d II, Egg albumin, Plakalbumin, Gal d 2) is encoded by the SERPINB14 gene (Gene ID: 396058) in chicken. Ovalbumin is a member of the serine protein inhibitor (serpin) super family, but it considered as a non-inhibitory serpin. It is a storage protein of egg white and may make up about 60% of the total protein in egg white. Ovalbumin provides a major interest for study because its structure provides a model for the structure of the inhibitory serpins. It is known to chelate heavy metals and traps the metal ions within the sulfhydryl bonds of the protein, which prevents the absorption of the metals into the gastrointestinal tract and prevents poisoning. Ovalbumin is a monomeric phosphoglyco-protein with an isoelectric point of 4.5. It is the only egg protein that contains free sulfhydryl groups. The purified form of ovalbumin consists of three different subclasses, Al, A2 and A3, which contain two, one and no phosphate groups per molecule, respectively. During storage of fertilized and non-fertilized eggs or under alkaline conditions, the native ovalbumin (N-ovalbumin) is transformed into a thermostabilized conformer, S-ovalbumin. In freshly laid eggs, only about 5% of ovalbumin exists in the S-form, while more than 50% of the ovalbumin converts to the S species during storage. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Physikalische Form

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Rekonstituierung

300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.

Lagerung und Haltbarkeit

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
