Anwendung

All Prestige Antibodies Powered by Atlas Antibodies are developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project and as a result, are supported by the most extensive characterization in the industry.

The Human Protein Atlas project can be subdivided into three efforts: Human Tissue Atlas, Cancer Atlas, and Human Cell Atlas. The antibodies that have been generated in support of the Tissue and Cancer Atlas projects have been tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues and through the recent efforts of the Human Cell Atlas project, many have been characterized by immunofluorescence to map the human proteome not only at the tissue level but now at the subcellular level. Biochem./physiol. Wirkung

C4BPA (C4b-binding protein alpha chain) gene encodes a subunit of C4b-binding protein. It belongs to the superfamily of proteins that are composed of tandemly arrayed short consensus repeats of approximately 60 amino acids. C4b-binding protein is a multimeric protein that is composed of a single, unique beta-chain and seven identical alpha-chains encoded by this gene. This multimeric protein is involved in the activation of the complement cascade through the classical pathway. This gene is localized to chromosome 1 along with other genes of the cluster. It interacts with anticoagulant protein S and with serum amyloid P component.
