Fibroblast cell line derived from the ileum of an adult histocompatible miniature male boar. Transformed by SV40 plasmid pSV3-neo.

Anwendung

Potential feeder cell line for the recovery of epithelial cells isolated from the small intestine.

Nährmedium

DMEM + 4mM Glutamine + 0.024IU/ml Insulin + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subkultur-Routine

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO₂; 37°C.
