Allgemeine Beschreibung

Endoglin (CD105) is a homodimeric integral membrane glycoprotein comprised of a 95 kDa subunit. Endoglin is a component of the TGF-β receptor system that functions as an ancillary receptor influencing binding of the Transforming Growth Factor beta (TGF-β) family of ligands to signaling receptors. Endoglin binds to TGF-β1 and TGF-β3 with high affinity, but does not bind TGF-β2. Endoglin is expressed by vascular endothelial cells and syncytiotrophoblasts of placenta and is weakly expressed by stromalfibroblasts. Endoglin is also expressed by U937 cells and by activated macrophages. Endoglin expression is up-regulated on activated endothelium in tissues undergoing angiogenesis, such as in tumors, or in cases of wound healing or dermal inflammation.

Anti-Endoglin (CD105) Antibody, clone 44G4 is an antibody against Endoglin (CD105) for use in FC, IH & IP.
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A representative lot was used by an independent laboratory to detect Endoglin in normal human lymph node, tonsil, spleen thrymus, liver, breast, lung, and kidney specimens (Gougos, A., and Letarte, M. (1988). J Immunol. 141(6):1925-1933).

Immunoprecipitation Analysis: A representative lot was used by an independent laboratory to IP Endoglin from HOON, NALM-6, 3104, 3161, HL-60, U-937, EM-3 and KG-1a cells (Gougos, A., and Letarte, M. (1988). J Immunol. 141(6):1925-1933).

Qualität

Evaluated by Flow Cytometry in HUVEC cells.

Flow Cytometry Analysis: A 1:200 dilution of this antibody detected Endoglin in HUVEC cells.
