Prolylcarboxypeptidase, a lysosomal serine carboxypeptidase, cleaves COOH-terminal amino acids linked to proline, as in angiotensin II and III and [des-Arg9] bradykinin. About 25% of the enzyme protein was sequenced, and the complete sequence was deduced from its human kidney cDNA.

Renin-angiotensin System is essential for the homeostasis of blood pressure in humans. The roles of renin-angiotensin system gene polymorphisms including angiotensinogen, angiotensin-converting enzyme, renin and angiotensin II receptor, type 1 genes in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia have been extensively studied

Our team of scientists has experience in all areas of research including Life Science, Material Science, Chemical Synthesis, Chromatography, Analytical and many others.
