General description

Glutamine is an amino acid synthesized in the muscle that plays major roles in protein synthesis, acid-base balance, anabolic processes and is utilized for cellular energy and as a carbon source. It is used in the treatment of injury, trauma, burns, and also as a supplement for muscle growth and post-surgery healing.

Application

The Glutamine Assay Kit may be used for:
  • Cancer Research
  • Immunological Research
  • Gastrointestinal Disease Research

Features and Benefits

Broad Detection Range: Detect Glutamine levels accurately across a wide range, from 0.023 to 2 mM, using only 20 μL of sample in a 96-well plate setup, ensuring comprehensive analysis with minimal sample requirement.

Simplified Process: Experience a streamlined process with the addition of only a single working reagent and a room temperature reaction, reducing complexity and saving valuable time and effort.

Compatibility with High-Throughput Systems: Easily incorporate our kit into high-throughput handling systems, ensuring smooth and accurate processing, enhancing efficiency in your laboratory workflow.

Suitability

The kit is suitable for the quantitative determination of glutamine and evaluation of drug effects on glutamine metabolism in serum, plasma, urine, cells, tissue etc.

Principle

Simple, direct and automation-ready procedures for measuring glutamine concentration are very desirable. The Glutamine Assay Kit is based on the hydrolysis of glutamine to glutamate and the colorimetric determination of the product. The intensity of the product color, measured at A565 nm, is proportional to the glutamine concentration in the sample.
