Cell Line Origin

Human malignant melanoma IL-1 sensitive

Cell Line Description

The cell line A375-C6 has been shown to be sensitive to the IL-1 mediated anti-proliferative effect. It has been derived from the parental line A375 (Sigma Catalogue number. 88113005) by limiting dilution together with its twin clone A375-C5 (Sigma Catalogue number. 97011320) which is IL-1 unresponsive. A375-C6 could be useful for a growth inhibition assay for IL-1. The cells have been eradicated from mycoplasma at ECACC.

Application

IL-1 growth inhibition assay, IL-1 receptor analysis
