Mouse neuroblastoma

Cell Line Description

A subclone of the cell line N1E-115 established by Amano et al. The cell line N1E-115 is an adrenergic cell line derived from mouse neuroblastoma C1300. (Mouse strain A/Jax). N1E-115 cells are reported to be slightly contaminated with with a cell type of the morphology of C6 glioma cells. It is recommended to use N1E-115-1, a subclone of N1E-115, that is devoid of the contamination.

Application

can be used as a neuronal model

Culture Medium

DMEM + 2 mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS)

Subculture Routine

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.05% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37°C. Population doubling approximately 20 hours.
