General description

GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to an internal fragment from the C-terminal half of human CLCA1.

Specificity

Detects the 90 kDa processed/cleaved 4-transmembrane glycoprotein, but not the cleaved 37-41 kDa C-terminal fragment.

Application

Epitope: Internal (C-terminal half).

Quality

Evaluated by Western Blotting in human small intestine tissue lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: 0.5 µg/mL of this antibody detected CLCA1 in 10 µg of human small intestine tissue lysate.

Physical properties

~83 kDa observed. 125 kDa glycosylated precursor form, 90 kDa and 37-41 kDa processed/cleaved fragements reported (Gruber, A.D., et al. (1998). Genomics. 54(2):200-214).

Physical form

Purified mouse monoclonal IgG1κ antibody in buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 150 mM NaCl with 0.05% sodium azide.

Storage and Stability

Stable for 1 year at 2-8°C from date of receipt.
