Biochem/physiol Actions

NCTT-956 is a very potent, specific inhibitor of 12-lipoxygenase (12-LO) activity, with an IC50 of 800 nM, no activity against 5-LO and greater than 25-fold selectivity over 15-LO. Specific inhibition of 12-LO by NCTT-956 in platelets blocks PKC activation, aggregation, granule secretion and αIIbB3 activation.
