General description
The human MMP-7 ELISA kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human MMP-7 in cell culture supernatants. Matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7)/matrilysin is a small proteolytic enzyme. It secretes zinc- and calcium-dependent endopeptidase. It is expressed in normal endometrial, bronchial, ductal, skin glandular epithelial, urogenital, and gastrointestinal tissues. MMP-7 plays a key role in cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and apoptosis. Elevated expression of MMP-7 is seen in several cancers, such as esophageal, gastric, gallbladder, pancreatic, colorectal, bladder, ovarian, breast, lung, and melanoma.
Immunogen
Recombinant Human MMP7
Application
Human MMP-7 ELISA Kit has been used in ELISA to measure the recovery of the cancer biomarkers/MMP-7 in isothermally vitrified samples. It has also been used in ELISA to determine MMP7 concentrations in multiple myeloma (MM) cell culture supernatants.

Matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7) is a small proteolytic enzyme that secretes zinc and calcium endopeptidases. It can degrade a variety of extracellular matrix substrates and other substrates and plays important regulatory roles in many human pathophysiological processes. Since its discovery, MMP-7

In view of the latest findings that matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7) acted as a vital marker and pathogenic mediator of renal fibrosis in a murine model, we hypothesized that serum MMP-7 level might serve as a noninvasive prognostic biomarker in IgA

Extracellular matrix-degrading proteinases are upregulated in atherosclerotic lesions and can contribute to subsequent pathological events. In the present nested case-control study, we investigated the association of serum concentrations of matrix metalloproteinases MMP-7, MMP-8, and MMP-13, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1)
