General description

Probable ergosterol biosynthetic protein 28, also known as NET51, is a very basic polypeptide containing several, evolutionary conserved transmembrane domains that are likely to play a role in sterol biosynthesis. It is found predominantly in normal testis and has also been found in many cancer cell lines and tumors.

Specificity

This antibody recognizes Probable ergosterol biosynthetic protein 28 near the first transmembrane domain.

Immunogen

Epitope: Transmembrane domain
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human Probable ergosterol biosynthetic protein 28 near the first transmembrane domain.

Application

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: 1:500 dilution from a representative lot detected Probable ergosterol biosynthetic protein 28 in HeLa cells.

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A representative lot was used by an independent laboratory in rat liver cells. (Malik, P., et al. (2010). Cell. Mol. Life Sci. DOI 10.1007/s00018-010-0257-2.)
