生育酚 (TCP)（维生素 E）是一系列（α、β、γ 和 δ）的手性有机分子，它们的色满诺环的酚部分甲基化程度不同。生育酚是脂溶性抗氧化剂，保护细胞膜免受氧化损伤。α-生育酚是智人优先吸收的生育酚形式。各种生育酚的同分异构体和类似物在体内具有相反和不同的调节活性。
