L-012已被用作生物发光检测的探针，用于测定分离的小鼠肺中的活性氧（ROS）水平。
生化／生理作用
L-012是鲁米诺类似物，是培养物和动物体内广泛使用的活性氧和氮物质（RONS；ROS & RNS）化学发光（CL）探针。L-012显示出比鲁米诺、光泽精和MCLA显着更高的CL产量和灵敏度。L-012（LumH2）不是直接与超氧阴离子（O2−）反应，而是通过单电子氧化（在H2O2存在下由过氧化物酶催化）转化为LumH·自由基形式，然后与氧气（O2）反应生成O2−和L-012醌（q-Lum）。O2−依次与LumH·自由基反应，最终导致内过氧化物分解以发出发光。在较小的范围内，H2O2也可以与q-Lum反应产生发光。尽管对NADPH氧化酶衍生的RONS不是特异性的，但L-012也通常用于筛选NADPH氧化酶抑制剂。
