應用

MEM非必需氨基酸溶液已可用于维持哺乳动物细胞的Dulbecco′s基本必需培养基。它已被添加到卵母细胞成熟培养基中。

生化／生理作用
杂交瘤培养研究表明，Eagle8242;s基本培养基(MEM)添加非必需氨基酸可提高杂交瘤细胞在死亡阶段的膜稳定性。这也会导致死亡阶段抗体分泌增加，乳酸浓度下降。
