生化/生理作用
半乳凝素-3(Gal3)具有抗细胞凋亡性质,并介导癌细胞与内皮的粘附。乳糖会抑制半乳凝素-3的活性。高水平的Gal3与心血管疾病有关,并且是心力衰竭相关纤维化和炎症中的潜在生物标志物。Gal3与多种生物活动有关,包括从分化到宿主防御和免疫调节。Gal3基因缺失与肾功能异常(如肾病)有关联。它与视网膜病和非酒精性脂肪性肝病(NAFLD)的发病机制有关。
半乳糖凝集素-3与癌症的细胞凋亡抑制和进展有关,也是炎症的一种调节因子。研究发现半乳糖凝集素-3的表达与结肠癌、肝癌和甲状腺癌的致瘤性和转移呈正相关。
