生化／生理作用
α-酪蛋白在幼儿体内可能是一种免疫原，抗α-酪蛋白抗体与胰岛素具有很强的交叉反应性。这种效应解释了不常见的胰岛素自身免疫，但这似乎并没有进展到I型糖尿病。
