识别5-羟色胺的甲醛结合物。未经多聚甲醛处理，在血凝试验中与多巴胺和色胺在液相中有交叉反应。显示与甲醛固定制备物中含儿茶酚胺的神经元无反应性。MAB352与神经元中的5-羟色胺反应，并识别固定组织切片中的5-羟色胺能位点。通过细胞凝集，与5-羟吲哚乙酸、GABA、去甲肾上腺素、5-羟色氨酸、肌肽或褪黑激素无交叉反应。
