應用

氯化锡(II)二水合物可作为温和的路易斯酸催化剂用于合成:      
  • 通过芳族醛、2-氨基吡啶和异腈的三组分缩合反应制备的3-氨基咪唑并[1,2-a]吡啶。     
  • 通过5-氨基-3-(芳基氨基)-1H-吡唑-4-甲腈与环己烷-1,3-二酮或双甲酮的环缩合反应制备的吡唑[5,4-b]喹啉衍生物。    
  • 在琥珀酸酐存在的情况下由乳酸水溶液制备的聚乳酸。

它也可作为助催化剂,用于在钌催化剂存在的情况下以三乙醇胺处理苯胺来合成吲哚衍生物。
