We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for catalytic efficiency. Click here for more information.

Application

[BMIM][HSO4] can be used as an additive to accelerate current efficiency, lower power consumption, and enhance the surface morphology during the electrodeposition of zinc from acidic sulfate solutions. The combination of sodium nitrate and [BMIM][HSO4] can be used as a nitrating agent for the selective nitration of phenols to afford its corresponding nitro derivatives. [BMIM][HSO4] can also be used as catalyst for the preparation of 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxanthenes.
