以一种557 kDa hexadecamer存在,它由8个分子量约为56 kDa的重链以及8个分子量约为14 kDa的轻链组成。每个分子包含一个镁离子。
最适pH:~7.9。
CO2的KM:~0.45 mM。

D-核酮糖1,5-二磷酸羧化酶(RUBISCO,核酮糖二磷酸羧化酶)的激活依赖Rubisco激活酶和分子伴侣。它参与植物光吸收事件,可催化核酮糖1,5-二磷酸的羧化和加氧。Rubisco酶的羧化活性受脱落酸抑制。

單位定義

在pH 7.8、25°C条件下,一单位可在每分钟将1.0 μmole的D-RuDP和CO2转化为2.0 μmole的D-3-磷酸甘油酸酯。
