生化/生理作用
免疫球蛋白M(IgM)抗体是针对抗原的反应而产生的主要抗体。它们以低亲和力结合,但是对多种抗原表现出广泛的特异性。IgM占成人免疫球蛋白的15%。由于多种原因,IgM对于胎儿和新生儿的宿主防御很重要。IgM分子高效地激活补体经典途径。其五聚体结构有助于实现与多价配体的结合。IgM在清除血清中的入侵微生物方面具有重要作用。
