應用

α-来自金黄色葡萄球菌的溶血素已被用于:

生化/生理作用

α-溶血素是选择性溶血的,单体形式与膜结合,结合不需要特异性受体。在与生物膜和/或人造膜结合后,它会发生自身低聚化,从而产生代表跨膜孔的环状结构(六聚体),这些孔对离子和小代谢物是通透的。它对兔红细胞有明显的偏好。α-溶血素刺激细胞磷脂酶并诱导 Ca2+流入。它导致内皮屏障的膜破坏和细胞质成分的泄漏和细胞的渗透裂解。α-溶血素与脓毒症的发病机制有关。
