Photochemistry and mechanism of designed pyrenyl probe towards promoted cleavage of proteins.

A new photochemical reagent, succinic acid-1(1-pyrene)methylamide (PMA-SUC), was developed to recognize the specific binding sites on model proteins, egg-white lysozyme and avidin.
