A potent, specific, cell-permeable, reversible and ATP-competitive inhibitor of protein kinase A (K_i = 56 nM) that is prepared by a chemical modification of K-252a. Does not significantly affect the activities of PKC, PKG, and MLCK. Inhibits axon branching in cultured neurons. A 2 mM (50 µg/47 µl) solution of KT 5720 (Cat. No. 420323) in DMSO is also available.
