General description

This fluorogenic peptide is a substrate for the Main protease from SARS-Cov2, 3CL protease (Mpro). This substrate allows measurement of the activity of 3CL protease using a standard plate reader or spectrophotometer. Proteolytic cleavage by 3CL protease will release the fluorescent AFC group from the peptide (sequence TSAVLQ). After release, an increase in fluoresence is obtained (Excitation = 400 nm, Emission = 505 nm).

Peptide: Thr-Ser-Ala-Val-Leu-Gln-AFC
