General description

Certan Vial
Fumonisin B1 belongs to the family of toxins known as fumonisins. It is produced by several species of Fusarium molds, primarily by Fusarium verticillioide. It is one of the major mycotoxin contaminant in corn and corn-based foods. Furthermore it is hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic.

Application

Fumonisin B1 maybe used in the fumonisin injection experiment to study pulmonary edema and hydrothorax in swine produced by fumonisin B1.
