Peptone, mycological No. 2, is a mixture of Porcine skin and pancreas-based peptones used for obtaining luxuriant growth of yeast and molds. It is a type of peptone that is widely used as a nutrient source in microbiological culture media for the cultivation of pathogenic and nonpathogenic fungi and the identification of saprophytic and dermatophytes -yeasts and molds.Peptone, mycological No. 2, provides a wide range of nutrients, including amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and peptides, which supports the growth of diverse fungi
