Application

  • Biological Acid Anion Research: Tetra-n-butylammonium hydroxide is used in the hydration structures of lactic acid, facilitating the formation of ionic clathrate hydrate with biological organic acid anions. This application is significant in the study of biological molecules and their interactions with water molecules in various conditions (Muromachi et al., 2014).
  • Pharmaceutical Analysis: It is used in the determination of calcium dobesilate in human plasma, utilizing ion-pairing extraction and high-performance liquid chromatography. This method is crucial for monitoring drug levels in patients, ensuring therapeutic efficacy and safety (Róna et al., 2001).
