General description

Native papain from Carica papaya. A cysteine protease that hydrolyzes peptides, amides and esters, especially at bonds involving basic amino acids, glycine or leucine. Inhibitors include leupeptin (Cat. No. 108975) and PMSF (Cat. No. 52332).
