General description

A variable mixture of cell-permeable ester derivatives of BCECF (Cat. No. 216252) that are hydrolyzed by cytosolic esterases to yield intracellularly trapped indicator BCECF. Has been used to monitor intracellular pH changes in mammalian fibroblasts, gastric cells, lymphocytes, myocytes, and distal convoluted tubules. Typical loading buffer contains 1-10 µM BCECF/AM in serum-free medium that is free of amino acids and buffers containing primary or secondary amines.
