General description

(o-phosphate) Method: photometric, VM 0.5 - 30.0 mg/l PO₄-P 1.5 - 92.0 mg/l PO₄³⁻ 1.1 - 68.7 mg/l P₂O₅ Spectroquant®
The method is analogous to APHA 4500-P C.
This Spectroquant® Reagent Test is especially designed for the analysis of processes water. In order to avoid long downtimes and intensive maintenance costs of processes water systems a precisely adjusted level of phosphate in the water is paramount to ensure water pipes are protected and corrosion is limited to a minimum.
The Spectroquant® Reagent Test Kits contain highly stable, ready-to-use reagent mixtures to perform the analysis according to the procedure described in the accompanying instruction leaflet .
All our Cell and Reagent Test Kits are equipped with the unique Live ID (2D barcode) which allows seamless method recognition and contains essential information such as lot number, expiry date, and automatic calibration updates.

Application

  • Environmental Monitoring: Phosphate tests are extensively used in environmental monitoring to assess the levels of phosphate in water bodies. These tests help in evaluating the impact of agricultural runoff, industrial discharge, and wastewater treatment on water quality. Recent studies have focused on using selective colorimetric nano-sensing solutions to determine phosphate ions in drinking water samples, highlighting their importance in ensuring safe and clean water supplies (Salem and Draz, International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry, 2020).
