General description

(o-phosphate) Method: photometric, PMB 0.0025 - 5.00 mg/l PO₄-P 0.0077 - 15.3 mg/l PO₄ 0.0057 - 11.46 mg/l P₂O₅ Spectroquant®
The method is analogous to EPA 365.2+3, APHA 4500-P E, and DIN EN ISO 6878.
The Spectroquant®Phosphate Reagent Test allows the accurate quantification of phosphate. Elevated levels of phosphate might lead to eutrophication of water bodies, which is a risk to the environment.
Therefore, the concentration of phosphate in drinking water and wastewater is regulated in many countries. Further applications are the determination of phosphate in foods & beverages (e.g. beer) and in environmental and agricultural samples (e.g. soil).
The Spectroquant® Reagent Test Kits contain highly stable, ready-to-use reagent mixtures to perform the analysis according to the procedure described in the accompanying instruction leaflet.
All our Cell and Reagent Test Kits are equipped with the unique Live ID (2D barcode) which allows seamless method recognition and contains essential information such as lot number, expiry date, and automatic calibration updates.

Application

  • Effects of Two Remineralizing Agents in Combination with Er:YAG and CO(2) Laser Irradiation on Microhardness of Demineralized Enamel: This study highlights the use of phosphate tests in dental research, specifically in measuring the efficacy of remineralizing agents combined with laser treatment to enhance enamel hardness, which is crucial for dental health and preventive care (Mapar M et al., 2024).

  • Zinc and Silicon Nano-Fertilizers Influence Ionomic and Metabolite Profiles in Maize to Overcome Salt Stress: This research utilizes phosphate tests in the study of plant physiology, specifically to gauge the efficacy of nano-fertilizers in enhancing phosphate uptake under salt stress conditions, providing insights into sustainable agricultural practices (Shoukat A et al., 2024).

  • Investigation of Mechanical Properties of Polymer-Infiltrated Tetrapodal Zinc Oxide in Different Variants: Applies phosphate testing in the field of materials science to assess the interaction of phosphate with novel composite materials, thereby informing the development of more durable and efficient materials for various industrial applications (Scherer F et al., 2024).
