General description

CT-Supplement contains cefixime and potassium tellurite. It is used in combination with Sorbitol MacConkey Agar (SMCA) to enhance the isolation of Escherichia coli O157.

Application

CT-Supplement is an additive for the preparation of CT-SMAC Agar for the isolation and differentiation of enterohemorrhagic (EHEC) E. coli 0157:H7-strains from foodstuffs and stool.
