Description

General description

Candelilla Wax is a common wax derived from the leaves of the candelilla shrub. It has a composition which consists of n-alkanes, high molecular weight esters and alcohols, and sterols and free acids.
Candelilla wax is an additive which can be used in cosmetic and food industry.

Application

Component in leather dressings, polishes, varnishes, sealing wax, electrical insulating compositions, paper sizing lubricants and adhesives.

Features and Benefits

Hard glossy wax that retains oil, is emulsifiable and has excellent gelling properties. Low coefficient of expansion, very durable wax, will not crack.
