Application

Ammonium metavanadate is widely used to fabricate cathode material for Li-ion batteries.

It can also be used as a precursor to synthesize various vanadium catalysts such as vanadium carbide and nitride catalysts for hydrogenation, hydrodesulfurization, and hydrodenitrogenation reactions.

Storage of solar radiation is currently accomplished by coupling two separate devices, one that captures and converts the energy into an electrical impulse (a photovoltaic cell) and another that stores this electrical output (a battery or a supercapacitor electrochemical cell).

Vanadium is a ubiquitous trace metal present in most plant and animal tissues. Environmental exposure to trivalent and pentavalent inorganic vanadium compounds has been related to impaired different phases of reproduction. Therefore, the effects of a pentavalent inorganic vanadium compound

We recently demonstrated that V(5+) downregulates 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD)-mediated induction of Cyp1a1 mRNA, protein, and catalytic activity levels in Hepa 1c1c7 cells through transcriptional mechanism. Therefore, it is important to investigate whether similar changes occur in humans. For this purpose, we

Today, vanadium compounds are frequently included in nutritional supplements and are also being developed for therapeutic use in diabetes mellitus. Previously, tissue uptake of vanadium from bis(maltolato)oxovanadium(IV) (BMOV) was shown to be increased compared to its uptake from vanadyl sulfate
